Becoming an author is akin to becoming a musician, or an actor. There’s plenty of opportunities to do it as a free hobby. But turning that hobby into a career, is a like shopping for a Pegasus. The opportunities are scarce.
I’ve wanted to be an author since I was young and used to write “novels” on notepads and in exercise books for my classmates to read. It’s an elusive dream, but I’m not giving up. Not to sound too much like Veruca Salt in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory:
